International Woolmark Prize — British Isles

For the acclaimed British Isles iteration of the International Woolmark Prize, where mens and womenswear designers present a capsule collection made from wool to a panel of judges, BOUM decided on the raw but dramatic River Rooms at Somerset House.

The esteemed set of judges sat at a panel within a pared-back interior inspired by natural materials, textures and fibres akin to wool in aesthetic; a scene dressed with sisal rugs, rippled glassware and whitewashed furniture.

A long lunch followed to celebrate and announce the prize winners, where we laid tables with white orchids, eucalyptus, Max Lamb ceramics and Lyngby vases — details to be appreciated by a crowd with their minds in clever design and organic fabrication.

Personalised menus were handwritten and imported milanese linen provided a characteristic luxury; effortless beauty on par with the honoured material.
