Spring / Summer 17 – Femme

Our first collaboration with Y/Project and consequently the first to be produced out of house for Glenn Martens.

With collections already so atypical and cool, BOUM's focus was on beautiful lighting that shone from the outside in — designed with Valerie Bodier, who also works with Issey Miyake, Balmain and Kenzo — and a long central runway that was soundtracked by a momentous amalgam of 'O Fortuna!', cheesy elevator music and screaming punks.

The disused library at Lycée Charlemagne in Saint Paul proved able to accomodate this, as well as almost everyone who wanted to see the show. Those without tickets were pressed up against the fence outside, with all their might demanding to get inside.
