Marques Almeida
Spring / Summer 18

For one of London's most exciting and defiant labels, BOUM scouted a space that had not been open the the public for over 50 years.

The Bishopsgate Yard in Shoreditch was one of the oldest railway structures in the world, before it was devastated by fire, closed and partially demolished in 1964.

For the Marques Almeida SS18 fashion show, the studio designed, built and lit it up to be a 200m-long runway.

The space perfectly played host to the 42 models who stomped down the tracks to the sounds of Dolly Parton and the rumbling of near-by passing trains — an uncanny equivalent for the label's rising energy.
